I always admire the people who can just disappear into a peaceful slumber in a matter of minutes. I, on the other hand, have to twist and turn on the bed for a while before I can fall asleep. Quite often, as I struggle to fall asleep, I crave for something sweet or savoury or both. Imagine opening your refrigerator in the middle of the night and not finding anything worth munching on. That’s like a seeing a nightmare with your eyes wide open. That is why, I always prefer to keep a stock of some ingredients for quick and simple late night snacks.
One thing you have to keep in mind while selecting late night snacks recipes is that they have to be extremely simple and hassle-free. The recipes have to be so easy that you can follow them even in a half-asleep state. Or you can prepare them in advance and store in the refrigerator.
While a lot of fitness fanatics would advocate against such late night snacks, I feel there’s no harm in such indulgence once in a while. If anything, it might help you sleep better at night. Plus, why wait till morning when you can whip up something delicious in the middle of the night?
